Children need more than what they can get from church. A child that attends church every time the doors are open, even as much as three or four hours a week, won’t spiritually receive what he needs if his parents don’t lead him spiritually at home. There are just too many worldly influences competing for his attention. To illustrate this cut a string that is 168 inches long and then put a one-inch tab on it. There are 168 hours in a week. Visually this will illustrate how minor one hour, or even four hours, is in comparison to everything else that happens in a child’s week. True discipleship must happen at home.
Our Goal
Our goal is to help families experience God’s Word in a fun, surprising and creative manner, in a way that is easy and enjoyable for both the children and the parents, and to ignite in them a hunger that leads them to dig in, crawl inside, explore, and live out God’s truth in everyday life.
Biblical Foundation
The following resources have been created to help the parents in our church begin or continue to lead the family as God designed:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:5-7
